Description: #375Western Electric 20AL Candlestick Wood Subset Ringer Box About this phone: Many hours of time went into restoring the telephone. It was completely disassembled. Each component both inside and outside of the phone right down to the smallest screw was hand cleaned and polished. The body was repainted with care to be like the original without being too shiny. The 20AL non-dial telephone was introduced in 1915.The hook switch contacts were cleaned with original Bell Telephone Seal Bond paper specially designed for the purpose. It has the earlier transmitter with the brass banana tag. The transmitter was upgraded to an F1 element for better sound quality. The receiver went through an 8 step polishing process. It has an HA1 receiver element for better sound quality. A new line cord was installed so that it will fit into today's modern land line jacks. Just plug it in.The Candlestick requires a separate ringer box in order to function. This early Wood Ringer Box with brass bells makes for a beautiful display. It was completely disassembled and refinished. The phone is functional. It sounds like an old time phone. It will ring on incoming calls and you can pick up and talk on it. This is the non-dial early type Candlestick. See my other telephones and magnetos. Ships US Only
