This wide range electret element far exceeds mic specs for optimum use of todays technology. I designed this application for a direct solder in replacement that brings Hi-Fi audio and new life to my old amplified D-104 (must have amplifier and 9v battery in the Silver Eagle stand). Upgrade your old classic and get good audio reports!!! It's a 10 minute job to replace and it works great!! Electret Mic element, resistor/jumper, black felt and instructions are included. This replacement is ONLY for the Silver Eagle D-104 with T-UP9 base, amplifier board (PC-100) and battery. The Night Eagle used two different boards, this will only work with the one labeled PC100.For those who don't know what a PC100 board is inside the Silver Eagle base, I have posted pics of the PC100 board - THE BOARD IS SHOWN FOR ILLUSTRATION AND IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING!! Basics on how it's done, install pictures come with your purchase: Disassemble the microphone head – four screws. Insert the mic/felt assembly supplied behind the front screen. Solder leads from the neck to the mic as in the instructions. Insert some foam to hold the element in placeRemove bottom cover plate. Add resistor jumper assembly as shown in the instructions.
