Description: This antique, gold edged, hand painted, porcelain serving bowl is by Franz Anton Melham for Royal Bonn in Germany. It was designed sometime between 1887 and 1920. This is the first time I’ve sold anything like this, please feel free to correct me if I make a mistake. There is crazing on it. I don’t see any chips, but there’s a spot where the (sealant, shellac, shiny stuff) wore off and you can feel the bowl underneath it. That’s the final picture. There’s also a blue spot on the outside. I’m assuming it’s pen ink. 10 inches wide 3 inches deep It’s so beautiful! When I used Google Lens to learn about the bowl, the pictures that came up were magnificent! Cream, wisteria, sage green, gold, butter yellow, wine, and peach. Floral watercolors, just magical.
