Description: Up for sale is a nice vintage example of Vivitar's rare 200mm f/3.0 Series 1 Telephoto prime lens. As indicated by the serial number beginning in "28," this lens was built by the Komine corporation, considered the best of the Vivitar family of manufacturers. It was commissioned as part of Vivitar's pro-level "Series 1" line and features an unusually fast f/3 max aperture for a lens of its age and length, allowing it to produce rather stunning bokeh effects and subject isolation in addition to excellent saturated color and contrast! This particular example is in vintage condition with moderate exterior wear. Rubber grip is degraded and bubblin gin spots. Glass is in excellent condition, free of scratches, haze, and fungus. Mechanics are all in excellent working condition. This lens features the Nikon Pre-Ai F mount which can be used natively on early Nikon film SLRs and a limited number of Nikon DSLRs (full manual only) without modification.
