Description: You are purchasing a vintage Universal Geneve Polerouter Wristwatch reference 20217 2. This reference number is stamped on the case back along with UG logo and case back numbers. The watch is being sold from my personal vintage watch collection. The watch is running nicely and keeps good time over night. The stainless steel case appears to have been polished and is in very good condition in my view. The watch dates prior to 1960 and has a bumper 138SS 17 jewel movement which is automatic. The watch is 35mm and 19mm lugs. This watch design is attributed to the famous watch designer Gerald Genta. The dial is original and shows wear over the life of this watch. This original watch has the key hallmarks with a "big" U crown, and UG trademarks on the dial and case back. The watch has also been fitted with a new black leather strap.
