This beautiful cup and saucer set was made in Japan,as part of a Flower of the Month line, with the Lily of the Valley set being the month of May pieces. They are made of fine china, with a Lusterware iridescent glaze. Both pieces have Lily of the Valley flowers painted on them, with gold-tone trim at the rims and on the handle. The cup is footed, with scalloped edges at the base. The saucer is 5-½ inches in diameter and the cup is 3-½ inches wide at the top and 3 inches high and holds approximately 4 ounces of liquid.
