The winter landscape is painted at the highest level, embodied in the idea of winter hunting. The picturesque miniature boxes of the Kholui school are known around the world. Hand painted caskets are created by masters manually, painted with thin squirrel tassels, using paints created according to an old recipe. The mineral dye is mixed with egg yolk, water and vinegar, getting bright, saturated colors. The box is made of papier-mch. Black lacquer covers the outside and red lacquer covers the inside of the box. The lid opens up. At the bottom of the box the work is signed with the name of the artist, story and year ot made.
