Description: This is a vintage "Pittsburgh Sport Shop" Model AAH Official Hickory Playground Bat. It is a great find for collectors of vintage sports memorabilia. The bat is made in the United States and is an original piece from the 1940s or earlier. It is officially licensed and features the Pittsburgh Sports Shop branding. The player and team are unknown, but it is a great addition to any sports fan's collection. I cannot find much information on this Playground bat and Playground baseball. Bought them together in a shadow box many years ago in Florida, and I think they would make a great display together in your man cave, baseball collection, or shadow box. Both items are in good condition and could be used in a game today. The bat is 33 inches long and is made from the hickory tree.
