It is signed on the side panel by the artist Addie Pittlekow (1920-2010) who lived in St. Paul, Minnesota the winner of several Vesterheim (the National Norwegian -American Museum) Awards for rosmaling beginning in 1967 including the Gold Medal in 1970.
