Vintage Men's Wrist watch Soviet Russian Raketa Yuri Gagarin leather Strap RUNS

Description: This watch was purchased along with several other Russian watches at an estate sale. The watch shows some white signs of use, but as you can see by the photographs, it is in very nice condition. The watch functions perfectly and seems to keep very accurate time. This watch is wound manually using the upper crown, and the same crown is used for setting the time. The other crown is for rotating the inner bezel, which it does very smoothly. On the leather strap below the watch there is a badge/pin with a picture of Yuri Gagarin. Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin was a Soviet pilot and cosmonaut who became the first human to travel into space on April 12, 1961. I have enclosed a couple screenshots with a bit more information about him. This would be a great watch to add to your collection. I've worn it a couple times myself, and I've gotten quite a few compliments on it when I was out and about. With the very unique looking 24 hour dial, and the little badge with a picture of Yuri Gagarin on the genuine leather retro style strap, it is definitely a very unique combination. The case width is approximately40 mm, without the crown. The leather strap is a little bit twisted from being stored in a box with the strap bent for many years. The leather itself is still very soft and supple. Please look very closely at the photographs and they can be the best description of the condition and size of the watch.
