Description: Hobbleskirt 6 oz.raised letter, crown sealed, returnable Coca Cola bottle. Patent granted August 3, 1937. This is an Evolution Bottle #8 - early to mid 1950's. Dug-up at the site of the Roe Ford - where Poinsett (yes, that's the flower guy) crossed the primary tributary to the Reedy River just above the third fall, at the base of Paris Mtn., now on the Tour du France Route. One side says: Coca Cola/TRADEMARK REGISTERED/BOTTLE PAT. D-105529 , just under that is "18L48" (the 8's are difficult to make-out & may be another letter). Other side reads: Coca Cola/TRADEMAEK REGISTERED/MIN.CONTENTS 6 FL. OZ. Bottom is embossed GREENVILLE, SC. Condition seems good with almost none of the customary "case rash" suffered from having been reused several times. There are two small scratches on the neck which I have attempted to point-out in the photos. Bottle is dirty on the inside.
