Description: For your consideration is a fantastic vintage gardening book: "My Winter Garden" by Charles Kingsley. SCARCE. I consider myself a collector and have never heard of the Outing Publishing Company of New York. This was part of their "Golden Books" series with literal gold detailing on the cover. The series is circa 1910 though there is no stated printing date in the book. At just 57 pages (and just 4" x 7") it is also an oddity. It describes his garden and his feelings about his garden and getting a little philosophical about it. Really, really neat. Included is the original slipcase that is in poor condition but has done it's job in the last 110+ years. As shown the front cover of the slip cover has detached from the top and bottom and swings open. However the book it has protected is in very good condition. Some soiling as shown however almost no edgewear and all of the gold detailing on the cover looks new. Internal pages are relatively bright and the binding is almost as good as new.
