Description: With its rich, wide and etched gilt border, this vintage Aynsley Orchard Gold bone china dinner (or cabinet) plate is exquisite. Its transfer-printed center features handpainted embellishments by Aynsley artist Doris Jones, who was active at the company from 1938 to 1969. "D. Jones" is signed at the lower righthand side of the fruit center (see 4th to last photo). This 10.25-inch plate, which was made in England, is in superb condition: There are no chips and no cracks, and there is no crazing. Its fruit center is in outstanding condition. The only flaws to note are some wear on the plate's underside (see 3rd to last photo), a few short scratches on some of the gilt rim (see last photo) and one spot of a bit of tarnish (see 2nd to last photo). The plate's underside is marked "Aynsley England Fine English Bone China." 115 D is also handpainted on the bottom of the plate.
