I could not get the internal speaker to play, but I plugged in my headphones and can now verify that it is playing well. All speeds ( FF reverse, etc), dials, and buttons work fine. This is an older machine, so I can not guarantee how well it works for you. Seems great to me, but you have your own standards. It's an interesting design as it has a motor button that turns on and off the cooling fan. Comes in this handy carry box with 2 take-up reels. I'm selling as a parts machinr, but it is working, I just can't check all the functions and don't know the condition of all the parts.
