Description: Up for sale is a 1930's vintage Marx wind up (operating) Popeye metal action figure, Used. The condition is C-4 Fair due to several issues with operation and physical condition of the model. Although the wind-up function works as the legs move back and forth when wound, the wind-up function is sluggish, most of the time requiring some manual help to get the legs moving back and forth. It is possible that this condition could be improved with slight lubrication of the leg attachments and wind mechanism. The model is missing Popeye's small metal mouth mounted corncob pipe. There is notable paint loss on the model's exterior owing to age and previous use. Also, there are some minor scratches, and one of the parrot cage side panels is slightly mis-shaped in need of straightening (please refer to the pictures). Thanks for looking.
