She was regarded as a major poet during her life and William Thomas Stead called her "the Browning of American poetry"." The poem which is contained in a wood frame with Art Deco style flowers and nature scene with homes. The poem is as follows: "God wove a web of loveliness. Of clouds and starts and birds. But made not anything at all so beautiful, as Mothers words. They are as fair as bloom or air. They shine like every star. And I am rich who learned from her. How beautiful they are." It is 8 3/4" tall, 6 3/4" wide and 3/8" deep. It is in good vintage condition given its age, with some minor scratches on the frame, the frame is a little loose and it needs a cleaning - please see photos.
