J-Card cover art is likewise in great shape (this was too long to fit on my scanner so it's cut off in the picture but is in fact totally intact). Comes in the original outer case with typical light scuffing from handling. This has one small crack on the back. The hinge is intact. Even a brand new sealed cassette from 25-50 years ago will likely have some issues. Some may not be playable at all. The first few times I go to play a vintage tape I always fast forward and rewind it in it's entirety and clean the tape head after playing (sometimes after playing each side). These old tapes are bound to have some residue that will either cause the tape to stick to itself causing seizing, or accumulated grime will come off on the head and rollers and cause the sound quality of your deck to worsen very quickly. I know the people that make cassette head cleaners tell you to clean your head every 40 hours but that really only applies to brand new cassettes manufactured in the recent past, not 25 year old tapes.
