Description: Vintage Sta Caterina Amalfi Luggage Label Richter & C Napoli. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class. Started in 1880 by the Gambardella family and redesigned in 1904, the Santa Caterina hotel is a timeless beauty of the Amalfi coast. Exuding sophistication and vintage glamor this hotel has welcome guests as renowned as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Richard Burton and even Hillary Clinton. Now for 140 years it has stood strong, like a beacon of hospitality at the edge of the Amalfi coast. The beauty of this hotel is unmatched, except maybe by these luggage labels printed by Richter and Co. Napoli some 90 years ago. Richter and Co. Napoli being the single most famous printer of luggage labels in the world. While the 3.25"x4.25" label regularly comes up for auction, this larger 4.25"x5.50" would be far less common. Marked with the printing company's name as well as the hotel owners, this beautiful label is an absolute classic. Depicting a decorated balcony overlooking the Amalfi coast, the colors used are beautifully muted, exuding a sense of calm. Certainly as I've highlighted in the pictures this label is rough around the edges, literally. With its top and bottom demonstrating some significant fraying, the bulk of the front is still in good condition and would display well. The price is for the one large Santa Caterina label, but if interested I would bundle in the smaller label as well. Picture number 6 illustrates the size difference between this label and the more commonly found one. As always please do not be afraid to reach out with questions or to discuss pricing. I always make myself available and understand that there is a lot I can learn. I really appreciate you coming in to have a look
