The plant you will receive will be between these ranges of size as there will be slight differences from the photos in the listing as no two plants are the same. They will be guaranteed vibrant and healthy and ready for transplanting. We do not ship with the pot as the pot allows for too much soil moisture evaporation. It will be securely adhered to the package wall for the safest shipping method possible. PLEASE BE ADVISED: From October to March, we ship these plants in their dormant state. This plant is evergreen which means they will have still bear their leaves. The stem will be strewn with buds for this coming spring's growth. If you live in a southern state, these will push new growth upon planting them as dormancy is dependent on hours of daylight and temperature. It is a Kurume hybrid, which were originally discovered in the mountains of Japan at least 300 years ago as naturally occurring hybrids. General Description: Broadleaf evergreen shrub that flowers early midseason. Hardiness Zone: 5 to 9 Maintenance: Low Mature Height: 3 to 5 feet Mature Width: 2 to 4 feet Plant Details: Growth Habit: Compact, mounding habit. Slow grower. Leaf Structure: Evergreen. Appear yellow green when new, maturing to a glossy, matte green. Stem Structure: Smooth, grey to brown. Bark Structure: Brown, thin, and sometimes peeling. Soil Preference: Acidic. Peat, Loam. Watering Preference: Medium Sunlight Preference: Partial to Full Shade. Can tolerate full sun if protected and well watered. Bloom Time: April to May Bloom Color: Bright purple with deep red flecks.
