Description: Here you have a sweet bit of HORSE RACING MEMORABILIA! If you are a fan...SEE THE SCANS! This is a collection of the original and complete three issues of 1977 Sports Illustrated Magazines that covered the results of the 1977 Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, and the Belmont Stakes. Nice articles! Nice Photos Inside! The first issue has a six-page piece titled “HE FLEW FOR THE CREW.” (Seattle Slew, owned by a former airline stewardess and cheered on by a host of her friends, too the Kentucky Derby to remain undefeated and a first-class Triple Crown prospect.) This has SIX PHOTOS including one of owner KAREN TAYLOR. The second issue has a two-page piece, “NOW THERE’S JUST ONE MORE DANCE TO GO.” (Seattle Slew waltzed off with the Preakness and only needs to lead his rivals a merry chase in the Belmont to become the first undefeated Triple Crown winner.) One photo of Seattle Slew and Constitution… The third feature is “HE BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE.” (As 70,229 roared bravos, Seattle Slew turned in a show-stopping wire-to-wire performance in the $181,800 Belmont Stakes to become the only undefeated Triple Crown winner in the history of the American turf.) Six-page piece with eleven photos! Two of these include cover photos of the great horse. The third has only the inside feature. There is typical vintage edge and corner wear on these but mostly they are in fine shape. Not mint, but gently read, and a tough group to find! A great group FOR THE HORSE RACING FAN! Take ’em home with you! Winner, please add $7.50 for priority postage and wonderful packaging. GOOD LUCK! Please Check Out My Ebay Store. THANKS!
