Description: Large Lardy Wooden chess set in great condition. This is a remarkably large sized and nicely weighted French Lardy Chessmen. Knights are hand carved with nice detail and teeth.Made with natural boxwood and the other side is stained black boxwood, lacquered varnish. Very nice, distinctive Chess Set. Pieces are in excellent condition, minimal wear. One black pawn had a hairline crack that has been filled and repaired (PLEASE SEE LAST PHOTOS) Circa 1960s Made in France Complete set of 32 pieces King height 4 1/4 inches All weights and felts are present in great condition. No missing weights or felts. Please observe pictures carefully or ask questions.
