Description: This is a rare and complete Harper's Weekly July 1874 Athletics Team Supplement featuring none other than CAP ANSON. This piece is a must-have for any serious collector of baseball memorabilia, especially those interested in the history of the sport. It is in excellent condition and would make a fantastic addition to any collection. One of the earliest pieces of ephemera featuring Cap Anson, and the only one I know of depicting him in in a Phila. Uniform in just his 3rd season. His earliest “rookie” cards date nearly 20 years later than this, 1887-1889 when Anson was finishing up up his career. A surprisingly affordable playing era piece of one of baseballs earliest superstars. Magazine shows normal wear, but the page w/ the 9 player cards is in excellent condition. Refer to photos.
