RARE 1895 VINTAGE H SAMUEL MANCHESTER KEY WIND POCKET WATCH STERLING SILVER CASE

Description: Very nice case hinged at the front and back is marked 925 silver on the inner back and inside inner. Not the classic British hallmarks has the 925 a U mark or horns maybe and the date letter P but not knowing where made I can't date the case. However the movement is dated 1895! The movement is Swiss made the brass cover comes off easily the watch winds and adjusts fine with a key, no key included. The watch is running fine the second hand is moving the watch adjusts fine there is no warranty on this watch whatsoever. All kinds of script on the movement and the brass movement cover which is very cool. Nice to finally find a Swiss movement that works. I was born in Liverpool and know the H Samuel name very well. A jeweller with many branches at one time started in Liverpool then moved to Manchester UK so this is a retail branded watch the movement brought in from Switzerland and the case made maybe outside the UK too or I think it would have to have the regular hallmarks. About 16s size the case is 51mm diameter. The dial is very good - no cracks !! Nice decoration on the back, not in perfect condition the crystal is replacement plastic and wants to pop out a little loosey goosey front cover the movement isnt secured perfectly with a little adjustment it can be be very good, watch has been running for about 40 minutes now, hands moving nicely. No warranty whatsoever.
