Description: This auction is for one rare 13.5” tall original vintage Uncle Mistletoe doll from the 1950s. Uncle Mistletoe and Aunt Holly were created by Marshall Field & Co. as their Christmas mascots. They were displayed every year at Christmastime in Field’s elaborate animated window displays, on Field’s Christmas boxes and as ornaments hanging from the giant Christmas tree in the Walnut Room restaurant. Plush Mistletoe dolls were sold as toys in various sizes. This is one of the hard to find larger sizes It is in excellent condition. The ’boots” are made from a leather-like material. The wings are immaculate and all the felt appliqués are present, one on his scarf and one on each glove. It was originally owned by a Marshall Field’s employee who was responsible for Field’s window decorations. There are no holes, missing or torn pieces or repairs. There is no mildew or musty odor and no cigarette odor either. My home is smoke free but I have 2 cats. PLEASE NOTE: I SHIP ONLY TO ADDRESSES WITHIN THE 48 CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES.
