Just about every serious collector knows about the 1993 Score Pinnacle Joe DiMaggio tin set that celebrates his illustrious career. If you bought a case of the sets, you were rewarded with (1) random (of 5 total cards in the set) Joe DiMaggio signed card. These are very common on eBay and have been changing hands for years. What most collectors DO NOT know is that Joe DiMaggio took a very small quantity of these cards during the Score Pinnacle signing for himself. Joe reportedly took about 300 of the cards and planned to sign them and give them to family and friends as keepsakes. Morris Engleberg, Joe's longtime friend and attorney, stated there were 264 of the cards and sold about half of those to Ralph Perullo (R & R enterprises). These special cards are marked with a "Joe DiMaggio Enterprises" sticker on the back of the card. This variation of the Score Pinnacle DiMaggio card is INCREDIBLY scarce.
