Description: Photo album containing 34 total CDVs and tintypes, mostly 1860s with some 1870s. Photos include some identified people and Confederate veterans of the Civil War. Members of the Lusk and Hoyle families, of Louisiana and North Carolina, plus some friends and relatives. I researched a few names.. Laban Hoyle was in the Louisiana Infantry, Crescent Regiment. I sold a photo of him in uniform years back that I am showing in this listing for referenceonly. Another CDV shows Alfred Hoyle, North Carolina infantry, who was killed in action at the Battle of Seven Pines in 1862 at only 18 years old. The two Hoyle CDVS are in very good antique condition, NOT trimmed. Studio backmarks include, C.R. Rees & Co, Richmond, Virginia, Van Ness, Charlotte, North Carolina, Howleff, Norfolk, Virginia, Broadway, Charlotte, NC, Holyland, Baltimore, Maryland, Latour, Sedalia, Missouri, Whitney, Saint Paul, Minnesota, Outley & Bell, Saint Louis, MO, Goebel, Saint Charles, MO, Downs & Co, New Orleans, Louisiana, Moses, New Orleans, LA, Cummins, Baltimore, MD, Tobias, Saint Louis, MO, Taylor, Asheville, NC, Guerin, St. Louis, MO, Ryder, Cleveland, Ohio, Sheldon, New Orleans, LA, Fredricks, New York City. Goodrich & Hough, NYC. The photos seem to be in very good or better antique condition as a whole. The album is in pretty bad condition, the spine is split in half, so the album is basically in two pieces. I didn't take a lot of pictures of it because I was only allowed 12 listing photos. Boxed & insured Priority Mail.
