Pair of Antique Curtains c1900 Hand Block Printed Floral Linen

Description: Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk! A lovely pair of French long floral curtain panels, dating to circa 1900-1910. Wonderful floral design and so much lovely fabric that would also be perfect for use in other projects!! This fabric is a finely woven linen and it's a medium weight. The ribbon, rose and lattice floral design is gently faded on an aged beige ground in pink, brown, muted purple and green tones. The curtains are each unevenly faded and tanned with age from sun exposure in long bands. The curtains are backed in a plain natural aged cotton, that also has bands from sun exposure. There are large wooden curtain rings at the top of each for hanging, but several rings are missing. There is a fringe trim down one side of each of these curtains. I have 2 matching pairs that I am selling here separately, please note they are in slightly different condition, so the price varies for each pair. This pair would be ideal for some mending and hanging for curtains, or for use of the fabric for decorative pillows, framing, design inspiration, etc! Please see the condition below. ~ *~ *~ ( E1890 E1866 ) MEASUREMENTS : ~ Each curtain measures approx. 40 inches wide at the gathered top, 52 inches wide at the bottom by 111 inches long. ~ CONDITION : These curtains are in as found, not freshly laundered condition. Condition reflected in the price! As described above, they all are faded in long bands from sun exposure, and are missing some curtain rings. Each will have a few pale marks. The poorer condition pair has some large tears in the backing, and one curtain of that pair has a few small holes and tears in the very side edge of the front fabric as well. 12/12/19
