Description: This listing is for a charming wood plate featuring Norwegian Rosemaling done by Julie Anne Droivold. The rosemaling is done in lovely shades of blue, orange, green and gold. The approximate diameter is 6”. For anyone who is not familiar with the work of Julie Anne Droivold studied Rosemaling painting techniques in Norway and was an award winning, well respected Rosemaling artist for more than 50 years. She taught 50 Rosemaling seminars at Camp Norge and she was the founder and first president of the Sons of Norway Gulldalen Lodge. Since the time she passed away in 2016, her artwork has become increasingly difficult to find and thus more expensive. As you can see in the photo, the combination of colors and attention to detail are both exceptionally nicely done and the piece is in good condition with any imperfections being minor. Please see photos for the couple little imperfections. This would not only make a beautiful addition to a collection for someone who appreciates the beauty of Norwegian Rosemaling, but it also has added collector value as a piece done by Julie Anne Droivold.
