One-of-a-kind tropicalized 1940s WW2 Bulova ORD American military vintage watch

Description: Only time and the elements can make an amazing vintage watch like this one. This American military issued watch from WW2 during the 1940s has been transformed by time into something very special. Collectors of military watches will want to consider this one with its striking patina as a highly unique addition to any military watch collection. The dial and hands are all original, untouched, with their original lume. Marked ORD DEPT USA on back, short for Ordnance Department. Winds, sets, runs and keeps time. Spotless Bulova 10AK 15 jewels movement without a mark on it. When we opened this watch, it felt as though it had never been opened and it has no indication/markings of any prior servicing. Watch has not been serviced and servicing is recommended due to the long-term storage. We are including both the special color matching old stock Genuine Lizard band and a WW2 period-correct Sure-Stay steel cuff band on its original sales card. Very wearable size in the range of many military watches of the time period. This has a plated Base Metal case that shows average wear, just the look of active service you would hope for in a WW2 piece. Case diameter is 32mm not counting the crown and 40.6mm lug top tip to bottom tip. Perfect crystal free of scratches. Watch has spring bars, not fixed lugs, giving you easier options for switching between bands. Our pictures are magnified 2.5X to 5X to show all conditions clearly, but keep in mind such macro pictures show things you won't notice in person.
