Description: Nabeshima Japanese Imari Porcelain Vase Very Detailed 13.75 In. Imaizumi Imaemon Description and Item Information Up for sale is this wonderful Japanese iro-Nabeshima Imari porcelain vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This tall bud vase is white porcelain with very detailed decoration in red, blue, and green. The vase stands approximately 11 3/4 inches tall, and it has a maximum diameter of about 5 1/4 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 2 pounds 5.2 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a collection of Asian decorative arts. Identification This iro-Nabeshima vase is marked beneath, as shown in Photo 9. The mark is that of Imaizumi Imaemon, but the exact generation of the artist is not known. The exact age of this piece is not known, but it is vintage. It is from a high end northern California collection of Japanese art and decorative art. Condition The vase looks good overall, with no cracks. There is a fracture area to the rim, with minor glaze/clay loss, as shown. This damage is difficult to see under normal lighting and viewing conditions. It is still an incredible example. Otherwise, there are no cracks or chips. There are minor wear marks to the unglazed foot rim. Please review the description and photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.
