Description: MAX RELEASE PASTE WAX #2 12-Ounce Net Content AND MAX RELEASE PARTING FILM #10 PVA Based Parting Film 32-Ounce Net Content COMBINATION KIT The combination of applying a paste wax on the mold first such as our MAX MOLD WAX #2 and then the MAX PVA PF#10 will serve many purposes that saves time and money. This release application technique will provide easy release, prevent mold damage and reduce or eliminate any cross-contamination of the wax mold release to the molded part. The molded part will often times require further finishing such as decorative painting or applying a protective coating. Any contamination that may have transferred to the molded part must be cleaned off, costing time, money and may pose adhesion problems of any subsequent coating application. Protect expensive and valuable molds and tooling from damage due to poor separation. LARGE FORMAT MAX MOLD RELEASEMAX MOLD RELEASE SYSTEM is used as the mold release system for mold making and casting applications. The part shown is an air intake for a turbo pump. FIBERGLASS CLAM SHELL MOLD Easy to use and extends the life of the moldLow Build up and easy removalFast drying formulationWater-soluble formulations allows easy clean up of the molded part and the mold itselfFor the best and trouble-free results use MAX RELEASE WAX #2.with MAX PVA PF#10 The Best Mold Release Technique MAX MOLD RELEASE SYSTEM is used as the mold release system for mold making and casting applications. It is suitable for epoxy, polyester, polyurethane resins. This method proved to be more efficient than using a silicone spray mold release for large surface areas. Mold release spray can often leave uncoated spots that can ruin the mold and the part. Silicone mold release of causes cross contamination and often cause other problems. The combination of applying the wax on the mold surface first and then the PVA parting film is the most effective method of creating a demoldable surface. The wax/PVA mold release technique reduces damage to tooling and molds during demolding. Once demolded, the PVA film peels away with the cured part and it is washed away with tap water or cleaned using a water-dampened rag. The PVA film also peels off easily on very smooth and surfaces. Use And ApplicationApply WAX #2 uniformly using a soft cloth similar to applying car polish. Buff away any build-up, especially on corners and sharp angles where it usually collects. Use an air hose to blow off any wax residue. Brush, roller, or spray apply the MAX PVA PF#10 onto the waxed surface and allow the PVA to dry. This technique ensures easy release from the mold while protecting the molded part from wax contamination. If using a brush, check for bristles before the PVA dries. Spray apply the PVA using an HVLP gun and minimize waste overspray. DEMOLDING THE PART FROM MOLD The best procedure for separating the part from the mold depends on the size and shape of the part. In most cases, the part can be lifted from the mold after loosening around the edges.A blast of compressed of air between the part and the mold at the edge is sometimes useful. On large curved parts, it may be necessary to first tap over the surface with a rubber mallet. A very strong blast of air will free very rigid parts that cannot be flexed. MAX PVA PF#10 will stay with the part or the mold and can be easily removed with water or a strong blast of air.Warm water will work much faster than cold water dissolving the PVA FILM.
