Description: For sale is a used E38 ECM. Controller is used and will show signs of age and use. May be dusty/dirty/greasy or have corrosion present. This is a salvage pull out. The service number you receive will be based on the OS (Operating System) required. This is not intended to be a service part for a daily driver.This ECM will have a fresh base calibration from GM. VATS/Immobilizer will be defeated, electric fans activated, governors removed and a base standalone program installed! This ECM will start your LS swap project using a 58x engine and electronic throttle body only. The calibration will not be locked. If your project has other requirements, message me! This ECM will ONLY control the ENGINE! It does not control the transmission. If you have a 4L65/70E or 4L80/85E transmission, a T42 TCM is required. I can supply those programmed to match the ECM. I have limited capability to change transmission type compatible with this generation of ECM. 6L80/90E note: The TCM is located inside the transmission and contains software from the donor vehicle. It is important that the ECM OS (Operating System) be compatible with the TCM OS. I will ask what donor vehicle the transmission came from in an effort to supply the correct ECM calibration. After purchase, let me know what engine and transmission, rear tire diameter, and rear end ratio you are using. I may reach out for throttle body, fuel injector, and MAF part number from your engine to ensure compatibility.
