Description: Lionel Prewar 262 Engine And 262T Tender Classic prewar engine and tender. Shows some wear and tear, nothing major (please check the photos and zoom in - they are the best descriptor you will get). Has held up amazingly well considering the age of the engine. Could benefit from as decent cleaning and a tune up as its been up on he shelf for quite a while. Pleas be sure to oil it properly before first use and the internal parts of the engine could stand for a cleaning and the brushes replaced -- just basic routine maintenance is all that's needed, as should be happening anyway. Passed a bench test - but there are no guarantees with model train motors, wires, or lights, they can go at anytime, especially during shipping, so be prepared to reattach a wire or two if need be. These older prewar models are getting more and more scarce as time rolls on, so act quickly if interested, i see them scooped up rather quickly and consistently.
