Originally 400 were created, numbered and distributed (numbered at the base w/ Universal Studios text and film title, along with number in the series); this Canopic Jar has the Universal Studios text on the base, film title, with the engraved marking through it to differentiate the numbers. There is no number or 400 indicated on the base. It either was not included, or there was another run of replicas made before (as a prototype), or after the 400 and is associated with the theme park or later release, such as dvd. Given the slight variation of coloring, I would estimate that this is either an early prototype or came after the original 400 - in any case, this is an authentic movie promo prop replica from Universal Studios acquired from an reputable source.
