Description: Offer:A limited, full leather edition of the significant work The Words of Joseph Smith by Andrew Ehat and Lyndon Cook, bound in full red letter, gilt and raised bands on the spine, an embossed motif around the edges of front and back boards, gilt on the top of the book block, and marbled endsheets. This edition is a special limited binding of the third printing produced by Grandin Book Company, owned by the author Lyndon Cook himself. In the course of Mormon history few volumes have had both a historical and theological impact like The Words of Joseph Smith. This volume pieces together the sermons delivered by the Prophet Joseph Smith, including the significant "King Follett Discourse" in Nauvoo from the journals of devout Latter-day Saints who took down his words as he gave them. Unlike later leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, most of the sermons of Joseph Smith were not recorded, making contemporary recollections one of the only sources of these teachings. In bringing together these disparate notes from Latter-day Saint journals and piecing them together to reconstruct what we can of each sermon, Ehat and Cook have made a lasting contribution to Mormon history and theology. Condition:This volume is in Fine to Near Fine condition presenting no major flaws, with the exception of some slight blemishes to the cover (see photos). Note: Shipping is available but local pick up may be preferable to both parties.
