Description: This is a vintage lens made in the former Soviet Union (USSR). The optical scheme of the JUPITER-9 2/85 was copied from the Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 2/85. JUPITER-9 2/85 is reliably assembled - everything is made of metal and glass. The focus ring rotates smoothly. When focusing, the front lens does not rotate and the body frame moves forward. The focus ring rotates 270 degrees. The entire lens moves when focusing. The minimum focusing distance is 80 cm. The lens has a setting ring and an aperture ring. The setting ring can take one of the following fixed values: F / 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16. The preset ring rotates smoothly and can be used to set any F-number value. There is also a GRIP scale for the same F-number values as on the aperture ring. It is very nice that the aperture consists of as many as 15 petals. The optical element (glass) is in excellent condition, clean and transparent. The focus and aperture control ring rotates smoothly. There are no signs of oxidation on the body. The lens body is in very good condition, no signs of oxidation, this lens will be in excellent condition for many years.
