Description: Antique Feldspathic American Eagle Teapot This fine white stoneware teapot has a sliding lid bordered with acanthus leaves. Beautiful definition and detail. It is decorated in relief on one side by the American eagle with shield, stars and ribbon impressed "E Pluribus Unum". On the other side is the head of Liberty in a Phrygian cap. Impressed "36" to base. c. 1800. Approx. 7"H X 10"W. Documentation: Lewis Prattware-1780-1840, p. 60 Condition: Glued crack to lid, repaired crack along bottom rim, restoration to underside edge of lid, otherwise minor imperfections to be expected with age.
