Description: Beautifully preserved book from the 1940s I presume there’s no date and it could be as early as the 30s. I have no clue it was owned by Arnold Stuhr in Hamburg. Very beautiful sepia tone photos with high resolution and detail of Greek ruins a lot of things that you don’t see in the modern books and probably things that don’t exist anymore that could’ve been destroyed in the war. Bought this in Lubec a few years ago and brought it over. Leather binding and book corners very beautifully presented. Photos don’t do justice to the sepia tones. These are very scarce photos of Greece in the early part of the last century.
