Description: Green Fly Greenfly Orchid Epidendrum magnolia Florida Live Plant Size: LG WE SURVIVED A DIRECT HIT FROM HURRICANE MILTON. READY TO SHIP! Sale is for ONE (1) Florida grown Green Fly Orchid to be chosen at random from the lot. Some orchids may be attached to their host bark and my be accompanied by their favorite companion plants, Resurrection Ferns (Pleopeltis polypodioides). Please refer to photos 2 - 8 for sizes/details as these are the very plants for sale. Green Fly Orchids are a frost-resistant, epiphytic species that grow on trees. They typically flower from August - March although ideal conditions may cause them to flower at other times of the year. Flower spikes produce 1 - 18 small flowers, each approximately the size of a U.S. dime.If plants are budding/flowering at time of purchase, I will do my best to protect them but they are quite delicate and I cannot guarantee their condition through transit. While an ideal terrarium plant, buds and flowers may be damaged or eaten by animal inhabitants. PLEASE NOTE: These orchids are responsibly sourced only from trees that have been felled by Hurricane Milton and are ultimately destined for the shredder. Sadly, I was a bit late to collect and most of the trees had already been shredded, taking their orchids with them. These remaining three are all I could find. Resurrection ferns may go dormant prior to or during shipping and may appear dead upon unpacking. Soaking the plants in room temperature water for a few minutes or heavy misting will wake them back up in a matter of hours. Please ask any questions prior to purchase.
