Description: Gibson Melody Maker - Maestro Vibrola - 1962 - Sunburst This is an all original 1962 Gibson Melody Maker D with very rare "horseshoe" Maestro Vibrola. Guitar has some nicks/dings/scratches and lots of lacquer checking but is free from any structural cracks or repairs and overall is in very good condition. I just cleaned/polished the frets and they are still in excellent shape and the guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with nice low/easy action and no buzzes or issues. The neck angle is good and the bridge has lots of height left for future adjustments. The D tuner shaft is slightly bent but all tuners still function properly. The original pickups and controls function as they should and it sounds great. The pots date to the 48th week of 1961. A nice light and resonant guitar at 6.19 lbs.
