Georgian 14k Yellow Gold Rose Cut Diamonds Ring Antique 1800's Foreign Hallmarks

Description: Antique Georgian era, very early 1800's, dainty 14K gold yellow gold ring with rose cut diamonds in very good condition for it's age.There is 2 of the smaller diamonds missing, but a previous owner replaced one of the missing with a newer diamond. The last picture shows the missing diamond and the newer diamond below it. This ring has foreign hallmarks on the outside of the band. I think this is a French made ring because of rooster head mark. The hallmarks are very tiny but I took the best pictures I could of the marks. Looks like dog at top middle mark is hard to make out something then maybe maltese cross then maybe letter F and at bottom right facing rooster head. The openings/ settings for the smaller diamonds measures approximately 0.8mm.The opening/ setting for the bigger center diamond is approximately 1.6mm.In total if the one missing diamond was replaced there would be less than .10 carat total weight of diamonds. The top of ring is made of silverThis ring was tested to verify goldIt weighs 2.3 gramsIt is a size 5 1/2 The top of the ring measures 1/2"The band measures 1/8"I haven't cleaned this ring. I will leave that up to buyer to clean it or not. I would definitely get this ring checked by your jeweler before wearing it. Just to make sure all the prongs are securely holding the diamonds.
