Description: This is a genuine ancient Roman silver ring, with a stone intaglio showing a goddess figure, apparently Felicity.I bought it on eBay many years ago, and will provide the Certificate of Authenticity that came with the piece when I purchased it. It is 2nd - 3rd century AD, possibly found in Eastern Europe. The certificate has more details.I never wear it, so it's time to pass it to someone else. Approximately size 7- 8, but it's not round (it's oval shaped) so it's hard to measure on a mandrel. The stone is set east/west and has lots of cracks in it, but seems very solid nonetheless. There is a dark spot on the band which I don't dare to try to clean off, which does not show if you wear the ring. The silver is a bit pitted, as you would expect with a ring that's almost 2,000 years old. Please see photos, and don't hesitate to request more pictures if you want them. Guaranteed to be genuine.
