Description: A beautiful antique Victorian 18k gold gemstone forget-me-not sentimental brooch or pin, dating to circa 1880. This very fine antique Victorian solid 18k yellow gold sentimental pin has been exquisitely made in the form of a gorgeous forget-me-not flower created with prong-set glowing natural Persian turquoise cabochons centered with a sparkling old cut natural diamond, a lovely solitaire set pearl represents an unopened forget-me-not bud, the pin completed with fabulous long leaves set with gorgeous glowing silvery white graduating pearls above a floral gold stalk-an extremely pretty piece showing off the best of Victorian artisanship! The pin is unmarked and tests for 18k gold, the pin on the reverse is rose gold and tests for 9k gold. The pin measures about 1 5/8 x 5/8 inches. The turquoise cabochons measure about +/-2.5mm, the diamond about 1mm, the large pearl is about 3mm long, the smaller pearls are in the +/-1mm-0.5mm range. The pin weighs approximately 3.4 grams.
