Description: Fenton for LG Wright Daisy & Fern Pitcher, Shape 85, Cranberry Opalescent Glass Pretty cranberry glass pitcher with a pleated rim and reeded handle. The opalescent daisy and fern design was originally produced by Northwood during the Early American Pattern Glass period beginning in 1894. This pattern was first produced by Fenton for L.G. Wright in 1940, and continued to be produced throughout the 1950s and 1960s, and again in the 1980s. (Fenton produced its own version in the late 1980s, which is distinguished by curved petals.) Deep pink cranberry glass with white opalescence. Pictured on page 78 of "Fenton Special Orders 1940-1985" by John Walk.Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs. A few bubbles and some minor manufacturing roughness on the inside. Clean. Marks: Unmarked. Dimensions: 6 3/8" high, 6 1/4" wide at handle, 5 1/2" deep (front to back).
