Item Description Fender American Standard Telecaster Natural/M -1989- (1989) "American Standard" series announced in 1988. The item that has recently arrived is the "American Standard Telecaster", which was manufactured in 1989 the following year. It has a natural finish and maple fingerboard, and is a nice piece with a slightly burnt appearance due to age. The neck has a slim shape, the fingerboard radius is 9.5", the frets are medium jumbo, and the flange has 22 frets. It features modern specs overall, including Schaller rotomatic pegs with Fender stamps and a 6-way saddle. The neck pickup has been replaced with a G&L MFD pickup.The tone pot was replaced in , and the Vol pot has solder on it, but you can barely confirm the 1989 date. The lock part of the switch knob and strap pin is missing. Overall, there is some signs of use commensurate with the model year, but there is no fatal damage. The neck is in good condition and the truss rod is OK. It is in good playing condition with about 70% of the frets left. A non-original soft shell case is included.
