Description: Saw my first Steeler game in 1967 when the Chicago Bears, with the great Gale Sayers, visited Pittsburgh for the home opener at Pitt Stadium. A decade later,at Three Rivers Stadium,I bought this from a small independent vendor on the grounds directly outside of the stadium. No tag, unlicensed,no ties to big companies and a very limited production. These early towels were not made in bulk quantities and didn't last long on the market. But they were very well made with unique graphics and designs. The cloth has no tears, rips or stains. The texture is not 100% with some minor wear, but overall is in great condition. The word "FOOTBALL" and the player are not cloth. They are raised slightly above the cloth appearing to be made of some type of vinyl or leathery like fabric. The player has 3 very minimal cracks on the right wrist, left ankle and left upper arm. Dimensions very large. 28"x16." One of a kind. Thanks and good luck.
