Description: Art Deco Guilloche Tango Enamel Dance Compact Powder Rouge Sterling Lipstick with Finger Ring This is a lovely little tango compact with matching lipstick suspended by a bar and link chain with attached finger ring. The enameling is the palest of yellow and the front has two hand-painted roses with forget-me-nots. The back is a beautiful ornate gold guilloche. The little lipstick matches the compact with a spray of two roses and forget-me-nots.The interior of the compact is in gold wash with an ornate design on the metal cover of the rouge pot. On the reverse of the lid is a reflective metal mirror that is clear but shows some light signs of age. Rouge compartment is full, and the lid opens and closes perfectly. The compact base reveals a rotating powder sifter that snaps open to fill. Both pieces attach to an engine-turned design embossed chain and finger ring. Marked “PATENT PENDING” on the rim of the powder sifter base. The compact has a thumb press release catch.Lipstick is marked “STERLING” on the top of the outer case near the attached ring. Lipstick has a sliver of enamel missing at the top edge as seen in the picture. The compact measures 2-1/16” wide, 2-1/4” tall and lipstick measures 1.5” long.This is a hard to find sweet vanity treasure from days gone by.
