Learn GRAND FUNK DVD: This also is not really a guitar hero DVD with huge amounts of difficult lead material but it is chock full of good-time songs and great classic guitar riffs and progressions. While some songs may have techniques that are a bit more difficult than the rest, this video is considered overall about the average level for this series and is suggested for students that are late POST beginning to early thru late intermediate*. The chord parts to most songs are fairly easy and could be played by most rhythm players with basic chord knowledge. The leads and single note riffs are classic Mark Farner, which may not be be the most technical speed freak, but seems to come from an encyclopedic knowledge of great blues, r&b, and rock background. Mark Farner's melodic and rhythmic riffs are meaty, grungy and fun to play, and his lead work makes every note count for something, even throwing in some surprises such as venturing into the harmonic minor scale.
