Description: 2 beautiful vintage plates in good condition. The only condition issue is a chip on the 1 plate as shown in photos. These can be salad or dessert plates. They were made in England and were in production from 1947 until 1975. They are the Chelsea Wicker Shape. It features multicolored flowers and a basketweave texture in a wide band around the circumference. 7.75" diameter, almost 0.5" tall.Total weight of the 6 plates is 3 lbs., 13.3 ounces. The production style of these plates is imperial china, and they are crafted using a unique blend of ceramic bases, including porcelain, bone, and stone clays. It is truly a finer production technique. Hand painting was done to fill in the transfer pattern outlines. Plate have a red artist's mark on back as well as the manufacturer's logo and an impressed name and number. These salad plates are part of the Spodes's Cowslip pattern, and they come marked with the "S 173" and manufacturer's logo.Please refer to pictures and ask questions as I do not accept returns.
