Hard to find Original Reissue / Remastered Vinyl Soul / Pop / Funk / R&B / Rock album from Billy Preston. Backed by a great band featuring George H. (Harrison - Beatles, Traveling Wilburys), David T. Walker, Clydie King, Venetta Fields, Merry Clayton, Patrice Holloway, Manual Kellough, King Errison, Rocky Peoples, Charles Garnette and more. String and Horn Arrangements by Quincy Jones. Includes the big title hit plus “Outa-Space”. In the Original Shrinkwrapped Cover with NO Barcode or Promo markings. Includes the Original Printed Pickwich Inner Sleeve. This is a reissue of the 1971 A&M SP-3507 which has been Remastered and the songs running order changed slightly. CONDITION The Sleeve is in its Original Shrinkwrapped cover and in great shape. There is some very slight shelf wear and corner softening / wear on the opening edge where the shrink is slightly pulled back. There is a small promo sawcut in the upper right corner. Beyond that, pretty much perfect. Super solid with no splits, stains, writing, tears, etc. and would rate Near Mint. The Vinyl is in pristine Glossy condition looking barely played and possibly even Unplayed. If you really look closely you might be able to spot a couple slight scuffs but still very close to New condition and easily Near Mint. The labels are also Near Mint. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them.
